WATCH: RFK Jr. endorses Trump and suspends campaign
Speaking in Phoenix, Arizona, RFK Jr. announced he would be suspending his campaign and endorsing Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump. Before taking the podium, RFK Jr. announced the news in a Pennsylvania court filing. Trump is expected to visit Glendale, Arizona later in the evening for a campaign rally, and has announced a special guest would be joining him Friday night. The scheduled remarks by Kennedy, a son of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and a nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, come as his campaigns momentum has slipped. Kennedy Jr. first entered the 2024 presidential race as a Democrat but left the party last fall to run as an independent.
