Eight year old Willie Sheridan tap dances through his days, dreaming of performing on Broadway. Encouraged and tutored by his Uncle Dipsey, but strongly opposed by his father, Willie finds that his 12 year old sister Emma is the only one willing to help him attain his goal. Emma wants to become a lawyer like her father and his selfappointed president of a neighborhood Children s Rights Crusade, so she takes on Willie as a perfect test case.
