The EXTREME mode is a very versatile preamp mode on the Mark V amplifier. It can go from brutal to sweet with the turn of a knob. It sounds more open, less compressed when compared to the Mark IV mode, yet it loses none if the urgency, focus, and tight articulation that have put the Mark series amps on the map.
