The theraband adds resistance for additional toning and strengthening, especially for the upper and lower body. It also provides extra support to help you find proper form and alignment. The stretchy band is one of my absolute favorite props to use in pilates mat exercises. It reminds me of many of the exercises on the pilates reformer because of the added resistance and strength. If youre short on time, then this is a perfect full body pilates at home workout. If you dont have a theraband or stretchy band, all of these exercises can be done without one. I do recommend one though it will take your mat pilates workout
