Casting a Bronze Age winged axe

This video was commissioned by the museum Fortress Königstein in Saxonia, Germany for a special exhibition about Bronze Age finds made on the fortress area a couple of years ago. We visited the wellknown archaeotechnician and metal specialist Frank Trommer and his crew in their workshop in Blaubeuren (Germany) and filmed the whole chaine operatoire from blending the ingredients in the smelting furnace until the final hafting of the axe.
