BONES WHEELS ZANE TIMPSON FFFOREVER

In October 2020 we had an idea to recreate the January 1981 Thrasher cover which was an illustration of what we believe to be a Bert. If youre not familiar with a Bert, its essentially a frontside grind but youre completely laid back in the transition with your lead hand holding you off the wall. Being that this was going to be for the Thrasher 40 year anniversary, we thought, who better to recreate this moment other than Tony Hawk Of course Tony was up for the challenge but he had admittedly had never done a Bert. In efforts to keep the energy of the session high, I also invited Zane Timpson. Before this day, Zane and Tony had never had an intimate session together and right away, they hit it off. With both of them having so much genuine love and passion for skateboarding, the day was full of high fives, hugs and positivity. It is day I will never forget in my life.
