An episode of the Joan Davis sitcom I Married Joan, called The Allergy. In this 1955 episode of the NBCTV series, Joan thinks she is allergic to her husband, Judge Bradley, who is hoping to be elected to the Surperior Court. Also appearing in this episode are Jim Backus, Dick Elliott (who has more than 300 film appearances to his credit), and Robert Foulk (who has over 100 film appearances to his credit). Directed by Ezra Stone. This was one of several sitcoms created in response to the popularity of I Love Lucy, though Joan had been playing the same type of character before that show deputed. Season 3, episode 19. Original air date: 2 February 1955. Its election time, Bradley is campaigning and wants to show the voters how happily married he is. Unfortunately, Joan starts sneezing whenever he comes within ten feet of her and thinks shes become allergic to him.
