The Seaside Eves (1925)
Begins with a poem in an intertitle: They re lovelike, And dovelike, They re Angels from abovelike, They re the joyous little Eves By the glad sea A group of people (about 12 of them) sit on a raft in the sea. People swim and row small boats around them. M, S of several women lying in the sea. A small child walks in front of them, there is a large pier behind them could be Brighton. People sit on a pebbly beach seen through an unusual diamond shaped mask. Two bathing belles stand in wet swimsuits. Both wear swimming caps one has a butterfly motif. C, U of two smiling women, one sits on the pebbles and the other dries herself after a swim. A novel bathing costume is presented to the camera. It is black with a striped trim around the arms, legs and neck. Strange how Adam will intrude, Some girls sit on the beach one is knitting. A man in swimming trunks and a vest sits with them. A woman is fishing off the side of the pier and reels in a small fat fish. Crowds
