Piet Wielemans gives me a look around the Kamp C facility where they 3d printed the first 2 story house in Europe with a group of students. The printer is still on location where the students have been testing various design solutions for reinforcement and other experimentation like materials. Now that the younger generation is getting access to this technology its future success has been cemented in the minds of the engineers of tomorrow. This was one of the first buildings made with a COBOD printer so it s particularly eye opening that a group of students (trained by another group of students) were able to achieve such a feat. Sorry that was unable to get inside, it was a Sunday so we are very lucky Piet was willing to show us around.
