David Jaffe s main points are: The Hydra level was the very last level designed in the game, and although it is technically amazing, he thinks it suffered from being too simple. One of the main goals for the first level was to establish what the game is about, both in gameplay (it s not just fighting) and in Kratos character (he is extremely brutal).
