Leopold Stokowski rendition, performed two years before his death vintage pictures from Life magazine, September 7, 1953, of Stokowski at home with his wife Gloria Vanderbilt and their two young sons: Galina Vishnevskaya, accompanied by her late husband Mstislav Rostropovich (19272007), performs Rachmaninov s Vocalise, Op. 34, Nr. 14, published in 1912 as the last of his Fourteen Songs (Op. 34) and dedicated to soprano Antonina Nezhdanova.
