Hunger in Afrika
Nach Schätzungen der UNO werden in diesem Jahr 60 Millionen Menschen mehr als im Jahr 2021 nicht genug zu essen haben. Die Hauptursachen sind die in die Höhe geschnellten Lebensmittel und Transportpreise sowie die westlichen Sanktionen gegen Russland. Aktivisten weisen darauf hin, dass ohne sofortige Maßnahmen zur Unterstützung des Kontinents die Zahl der Hungernden noch weiter ansteigen könnte, was eine humanitäre Katastrophe für Afrika bedeuten würde. Zuvor sprachen wir mit Dr. Yakubu Joseph aus Nigeria, der es für heuchlerisch hält, wenn die UNO den afrikanischen Ländern die Schuld an der Nahrungsmittelkrise gibt.
