Bracing of the fleeing archer
Forget speed shooting, here comes speed bracing. This is historical bracing of the frightened and fleeing archer put to a test. Based on extraordinary bow stringing method of Arab, Mamluk archers as described in Arab Archery (1945, Faris Elmer) translated edition of an Arabic manuscript of about A. D. 1500. This technique is used in a situation where you face an assault by sword or spear or the like. The archer runs away from the assailant and braces their bow while on the run.
