The Search For Cara Caudill Cox Pt 3: Searching The I 40 Rest Area In Essex, California

Today we strike out on foot and search the Mojave desert area surrounding the I40 Rest Stop in Essex, California. Although this is a very busy rest stop, it is located deep in the inhospitable and sparsely populated Mojave desert of California. According to Cara s boyfriend, he last saw Cara here at this rest stop soon after they had a fight and she struck off on her own. Cara s cell phone last pinged on a nearby cell tower and then fell silent. In this search, I walk a long stretch of the interstate, but behind the fences in the desert. I am searching for any clues to Cara s past presence including any sign of her cell phone that went dark here. I do have a scare when I find something unusual under one of the bridges.
