Denis Kuzmenko A White Lie (in memory of the Busby Babes)

A song about the Munich air disaster, Matt Busby and the Babes. I ve been supporting Manchester United sinse 1995. And of course, I ve known about the Busby Babes and the Munich air disaster for years. In 2021, I watched few shows and films about the crash on MUTV and other sources. There was the song The Flowers of Manchester among them. And I wanted to write a song about Matt Busby, the Babes and the Munich air disaster as well. People should know more about this, I guess. I was thinking about the plot and decided to take one episode of that tragedy for my song: Matt Busby is in the hospital, but he doesn t yet know about the victims, because the doctors take care of his mental and physical health and don t tell him the truth. The song is called A White Lie. Thanks to David Hall for his Manchester s Finest: How the Munich air disaster broke the heart of a great city. This beautiful book inspired me.
