EN In Her Family, for me, was the starting point for an enduring love for the music of Pat Metheny, one of the most innovative jazz guitarists and composers of our time. Together with his longterm musical partner Lyle Mays he formed the unique sound of the famous Pat Metheny Group. I heard this song for the first time at a concert of Duo Loro in a version for guitar and organ. I carried the plan to make an arrangement for classical guitar with me ever since, besides the already existing and very tasteful version by Jason Vieaux. When I got my 7string classical guitar by my trusted luthier Urs Langenbacher, In Her Family was the very first piece I arranged for my new repertoire. DE
