This is my country New Zealand. Darren Burch I ve been holding onto this new paper article since August 2015. Why did I call my song appellation I use to live in West Auckland. And for many years I would visit some of the local wineries. But during my final years of living in West Auckland, I was becoming obsessed with alcohol. On the spur of the moment. I decided to take a long road trip towards New Plymouth to see some of my family. And on my way there, I read an article about Amy Winehouse. While reading through each column. My heart sank when I read those words. Back to Black. I knew straight away how Amy felt. Trapped between two worlds. With only Alcohol to escape too. We live in a selfish world. Where people who give, arent cared about. Instead of helping them. They turn a blind eye. I made a promise to myself, not to drink alcohol again. And being a singer songwriter. I wanted to write a song. To dedicate my words for Amy Winehouse for saving my life and for giving us euphonious music.
