In the legendary Stax Studio: Time Is Tight by Booker T, Steve Cropper, Al Jackson Jnr and Donald Duck Dunn. Bookert T the MGs were the Stax label house band, backing the likes of Otis Redding, Sam Dave and Carla Thomas as well as having their own hits such as this and Green Onions. This is a live rendition excerpt of the original version of Time is Tight, with an extended intro. An interracial group in segregated Memphis Tennessee added to their uniqueness; the studio and label Stax were also a pioneering multiracial organisation.
