Illegal amber mining on the rise in Russia
Illegal mining of amber is increasing in the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. The situation has grown steadily worse as China now takes most of the exports from a staterun mining company, starving the traditional markets of Poland and Lithuania. Now, illegal diggers run by organised crime syndicates are stepping in to fill the void. Al Jazeeras Andrew Simmons reports from Kaliningrad.
