Though the Chinese Communist Party has been more open about its gold purchases in recent years, Alasdair Macleod, a prominent precious metals analyst and head of Research at Goldmoney, believes there is so much information hidden from the public to help the regime easily achieve its goals of dominating the world. Alasdair believes these plans have been in place since at least the early 1980s, shortly after China started its reform and opendoor policy with the adoption of a new economic development strategy in late 1978.
