Shots were taken in many towns and cities along the road: Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Barstow, Amboy, Ludlow, Oatman, Kingman, Seligman, Williams, Flagstaff, Winslow, Grants, Tucumcari, Amarillo, Shamrock, Elk City, Oklahoma, St. Louis, Chicago and a few unnamed spots on the way.
