Accelerator PCC Streetcar

PCC streetcar accelerator demonstration showing how in a dimmer like way the motors are brought up to speed. The display is a duplication of components in Kenohsa s exToronto PCC streetcars, with many of the parts for this display having been in CTA 6000 series El cars. Manually controlled in this video, the accelerator is adjusted according to speed, load, operator input, and grade, setting the braking, coasting and accelerating rates in the streetcar.
