Unused, unissued material. Paris, France. Happiness at home promotional French film showing Ideal Home type exhibition. Man in bed awakened by wife who tells him to look after the house and children while she goes to the exhibition. Lady leaving home. Man rising from bed, children rush at him, knock him back onto bed again. L, S exhibition of modern household gadgets and devices in large hall. Various shots woman visiting different stalls trying out some of the gadgets: Dunlopillo mattresses, trouser press, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, kitchen ware, coffee makers etc. Shots of woman at exhibition intercut with shots of man making complete mess of looking after house and children: he burns the dinner, breaks plates, knocks down shelves while the kids run riot lots of slapstick comedy Woman returns home to find the flat wrecked with the kids and father asleep in the middle of it.
