July 6th 2014 Reinbeck, Traer, Iowa AMAZING Orange Tornado
On July 6th 2014, I ventured to east central Iowa to chase a nicely sheared Northwest flow setup that many chasers believed was too marginal to justify the trip. With rich moisture and extreme instability in place, storm interaction with a renegade outflow boundary helped in turning a few LP supercells, tornadic. I witnessed 4 tornadoes from two storms this day, the most significant being a 30 minute long stovepipe tornado that tracked southeast while just missing the towns of Reinbeck, Traer, and Buckingha
