Bio by She Rox All Female Bands: Los Angeles based Warbride, began in the mid 1980 s, by founding members Lori Von Linstruth and Velia Garay, playing shows in the L. A area they quickly gained notice for their musicianship largely due to guitarist Lori who has been called one of the best female guitar players in the hard rock, heavy metal scene, the original lineup made several demos, however the band solidified their sound with the addition of seasoned drummer Michelle Gignac (Lee) who replaced Sandy Sledge. Warbride released several more demos and even opened for bands like Manowar, Phantom Blue, and Hardly Dangerous, being one of the first all female bands to play what is now called progressive metal, Warbride was destined to do great things, however management issues and line up changes plaque the band that eventually saw founding member Lori VonLinstruth leaving and joining the all female Sweden based metal band Ice Age, Keyboardist Velia Garay would continue with Warbride with new members
