The band was clearly influenced by Iron Maiden and the rest of the NWOBHM scene, and their sound fit squarely in the emerging American power, heavy metal scene. Warriors of the Night is a really solid album, though the cheese factor is pretty high. You either get cheesy metal anthems like Warriors of the World and The Sword or cheesy love songs like Tell My Why and Don t Say The metal anthems are awesome in that pure 80s glory of metal kind of way. The love songs are pretty terrible. Overall though, there s a lot to like about XCaliber s sound. Unfortunately, Warriors of the Night was XCaliber s only release. It s
