In his first major retrospective No Discipline, at MoMA and Centre Pompidou in 200809, Arads work moved seamlessly across genres, displaying his endless curiosity for new media, creative methods, and technologies. Sitting in his London living room, the artist retraces his longstanding fascination with the iconic Fiat 500 from the childhood memories of his fathers car to the idea of crushing Fiat 500s into paintings (or Pressed Flowers as he affectionately titled them).
