Complicate was formed in January 2001 in Fredonia, NY where, after several runins with local authorities due to noise ordinance no clue why, but they re gonna get us next time they decided to move everything to Rochester, NY. The music of complicate can be summed up in three words: Focus, Tension, Release. The music concentrates on wellformed builds, and extreme tension, ultimately released with equally extreme intensity. You can find the influences of many genres in the music of Complicate. Layered, flowing melody lines mixed with complex meter and thick chord structure lays the foundation for much of the group s material. The group has shared the stage with regional acts such as Loopus, 40oz Failure, Stemm, Blind Identity, Inherence, Gargantual Soul, Agents of Man and Omniblank. The group has also been a welcome guest on the stage with national acts such as ETown Concrete Razor Tie, BMG, The Used Warner 36 Crazy Fists Roadrunner Records and Erase Th
