pause load play Bert Sommer (February 7, 1949 July 23, 1990) was a folk singer who performed at Woodstock in 1969 and had a hit with the song We re All Playing In The Same He was briefly a member of baroquepop group the Left Banke, cowriting and singing lead on the Ivy Ivy, And Suddenly single. He also played Woof in the original Broadway production of Hair (musical) and Flatbush of Kaptain Kool and the Kongs on The Krofft Supershow in 1976. He died in Troy, NY after a long battle with respiratory illness. His last performance was in Troy on June 11, 1990 with his friend Johnny Rabb.
