A 1959 hit for Ronnie Hawkins , this earlier version was recorded by 18 yearold Obediah Donnell Jessie, who later spent some time with The Flairs, briefly with The Coasters, and a jazz performer with the Obie Jessie Combo. It was his younger brother, actor DeWayne Jessie, who portrayed Otis Day in National Lampoons Animal House.
