Shitting Off The Dock Of The Bay (rare 1960s soul vinyl)
On what should have been one of the great soul songs of the 1960s, Shitting Off The Dock Of The Bay found Bobo Bojangles in an uncharacteristically reflective mood. It was inspired by a particularly problematic digestive episode that had left Bobo dangling himself off a local pier for many hours while relieving himself of the unpleasant aftereffects of a badly prepared meal. For bizarre legal reasons that remain unclear the record only received a limited release on a small record label in Gdańsk. It was widely rumoured that several years later parts of the song were stolen for use in a much more famous record, though lawyers for the record label in question have consistently denied this.
