Stevie Wright Evie (part 12 LIVE)
For part 3 . After the demise of the Easybeats in 1969, Stevie Wright embarked on a successful solo career. In 1974 he released the epic Evie, an 11minute 3part classic, which to this day remains the longest song ever to reach, 1 on any chart in the world. The Easybeats split was primarily attributed to Dutchborn Harry Vanda s increased songwriting, which had replaced Wright s. Ironically, Evie, which became Wright s signature song, was written by Vanda Young. Recorded live at the 1979 Sydney Rocktober concert, this is parts 1 2 of the song. Since YouTube s time limit prevented the whole thing, part 3 has been uploaded separately. For part 3 see
