Abby Poeske, a junior at UNCChapel Hill majoring in middle grades education, spent the Fall 2011 semester in South Africa with the Burch Honors Program. While in Cape Town, Poeske communicated with a seventh grade social studies class at McDougle Middle School in Chapel Hill taught by Katie Gulledge.
