Plastic Bag Magician (1960)
M, S of two men in a garden in Hastings, Sussex, opening out a large plastic bag, scrunching down the edges and putting it on the ground; one of the men is Swedish illusionist, magician Carboni. Carbonita, his partner, appears, dressed in a short stripy shift dress and hat and black gloves (glamorous convict style); she steps into the bag. The other man takes off his jacket and Carbonita puts it on. M, S of a couple watching from deck chairs in the garden; the man turns to the woman with a bemused look on his face. Carboni and the other man unravel the plastic bag so it comes up over Carbonita s head, and wind some sticky tape around the top to seal it help I haven t seen any air holes yet presumably there are some. The unidentified man takes a black marker pen from Carboni and writes RX (his initials ) in two different places on the plastic, to show that only one bag is used in this trick.
