The Everly Brothers Gone, Gone, Gone Cathys Clown

American Bandstand. November 07, 1964. The Everly s are always great, but this performance definitely signifies a change in the music trend. Gone, Gone, Gone has a driving beat which personifies the eve of the GoGo era. The kids in the audience have since adapted shoulder jerks and newer hand gestures when keeping rhythm. Hand clapping and chewing BeechNut gum has seen its day by this time. I m not sure just how far into the 60 s I ll go when adding performances to this channel. This Everly Brothers performance has really made me realize its time to create a secondary channel to house the 60 s music. Well, at least Cathy s Clown takes a step back to the Everly Brothers earlier days. I think that s the only reason I included it in this vintage showcase. Anyway, enjoy.
