Viola da gamba making, Part 12 finishing the soundboard

In todays part of the viola da gamba making series Im finishing the soundboard. The arching is pretty much there after bending. The only thing left is blending the curves and thicknessing. Next I cut out the sound holes and glue the bass bar. I secure all joints with linen strips soaked in hide glue.
