In an interview for their upcoming film Wazir Farhan Akhtar and Aditi Rao Hydari surprised us by saying that the film is not a thriller but a heartwarming emotional drama. Not that the thriller aspect is missing but the film is more about the handling of relationships than crime and punishment. he went on to add that our films cannot succeed without the emotional connection. That is the most important thing in a Bollywood film The film tells the story of two unusual friends one a paralysed chess grandmaster and another a griefstricken ATS officer brought together by a peculiar twist of fate. Wazir, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Bejoy Nambiar, also features Aditi Rao Hydari and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
