Drumazhur Dru ( TOPOT, 2020)

Dru is an opening track from the Drumazhur album by four Russian jazz, free improv percussionists Oxana Grigorieva, Peter Ototsky, Sergey Bolotin Andrey Kim. It was recorded live at Azhurnaya Rotunda in Moscows Gorky Park in the summer of 2018. Drumazhur is record of a one and a half hour performance of the quartet, where the musicians do solos, manage to play duets and cleverly split into a trio, and then turn into a massive quartet again, sounding sometimes arrhythmically, loudly and menacingly, sometimes quietly, meditatively and bewitchingly.
