The American artist Kara Walker unveils neverbeforeseen drawings that grapple with race, gender, and violence. The artist has shown her silhouetted depictions of plantation life in most of the worlds leading institutions. Her monumental fountain sculpture, Fons Americanus exhibited at tate modern in London, depicting the transatlantic slave trade made global headlines and even an FKA Twigs music video.
