As You Like It (1929)
1929 Filmed at a school in North Kensington, London. Story about the range of lessons school children of today can experience. Sign reads: Buttercup Corner. Boys sit outside in the sun at desks and are given lessons by a male teacher. Under the auspices of the London Gardens Guild, the children are given lessons on gardening. A crocodile of girls and boys walk away from the school holding hands. Some carry spades. They run into the garden and get to work. Girls weed and water plants. Some pick flowers. Much digging, watering, hoeing etc. The children then have a nap outside on sun loungers. Cute stuff of 1920s children. Safety print exists.
