Ouch Booby trap explodes on car thief

A man tired of having his truck broken into has taken matters into his own hands as he booby traps his property. Theres still glass on Constance Street where Brendan Batt found the broken remains of his pickup truck window Sunday morning. After setting it up for weeks, Brendan Batt caught a thief in the act. The suspect broke the window and leaned into the car when a small explosion went off, startling the thief and sending him running. Its so frustrating and theres nothing you can do about it, Batt said. Its the eighth time since January hes had to replace the window in his truck. The glass repair shop near his office knows him so well by now, Batt jokes that he doesnt even have to introduce himself when he calls.
