Sam Raimi s 2002 SpiderMan was groundbreaking in many respects in approach, aesthetic, narrative and cinematography. But, for me, of the most enduring gift that the film gave us was the score, written by Danny Elfman. Elfman s music for SpiderMan contains some of the greatest themes ever composed for film, but it also plays a significant role as part of the narrative.
