War In USA First Pictures (1942)
Titles read: WAR IN USA FIRST PICTURES. United States of America. Various shots show Times Square in New York City before and during an air raid practice. When the siren sounds the people go down shelters and the square is empty. C, U of a woman in a tin hat. Various shots of women enlisting for service and having their fingerprints taken. A glamour girl signs on and we then see her in uniform with other new recruits. In San Francisco we see people filling sandbags and working to protect buildings in the city. In Honolulu people evacuate their burning homes after a Japanese raid. At a bombed hospital in Waikiki the nurses treat wounded people, and temporary wards are made. M, S of a newspaper headline declaring WAR Dahu bombed by Japanese planes. Various shots of a bombed out school, a car riddled with machinegun bullets and more wreckage after the attack.
