This 3Danimation shows the movement of the shoulder girdle and the forelimbs during bellydragging locomotion of the Bluetongued Skink (Tiliqua scincoides) at 0. 25 metres, sec. Note how the shoulder girdle is held very low above the ground, leaving the belly and breast in almost constant contact with the substrate.
