The body, s are multiplied and shift orientation at the crossing of two large decaying spruce trees, merging into and from the life and entropy embodied in the seasonal and biological cycles of the forest. Falling in and out of focus the figures evoke vulnerability. The spoken text (in English, with chants in Finnish) is drawn from the Finnish epic poem The Kalevala the poetry, with ancient origins, has been rearranged in a subversion of the original text to form a new narrative: descriptions of the felling of the forest and its demise eventually gives way to that of its renewal.
