They beat to hurt and humiliate: Kozacha Lopan residents told about atrocities of Russian occupiers
In front of his eyes, his son with a disability was beaten, his 17yearold daughter was threatened to be raped, and he himself was tortured with electric current and hung up on a rack. A resident of the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv region, Ukraine, spoke about the atrocities of the Russian invaders. The settlement is located just three kilometers from the Russian border. From the beginning of the fullscale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, Kozacha Lopan was captured by Russian troops. The Ukrainian army liberated the village seven months later, in September. After the deoccupation, torture chambers were found in the village, in which the Russian military mocked the locals.
