Toronto woman says TTC driver prevented her from leaving bus with her daughter
Rebecca Clements, a local Toronto resident and mother, rode a TTC bus with her fouryearold daughter Sophie last week like she often does however, was forced to stay aboard the vehicle by its driver when trying to get off at their stop. Clements was pushing her daughter in a stroller, when the driver asked to see the little girl. When she complied, the TTC employee told the mother to stay aboard the bus and blocked their exit. Following a complaint to the TTC by Clements, TTC officials told Global News the bus driver was concerned about the wellbeing of what appeared to be an unresponsive child. Im on alert. Im nervous when Im on the bus now, and I never used to be, Clements said following the incident. Globals Sean OShea has the latest.
