In the 30s of the 20th century, led by Charles Lucky Luciano, the mafia was dominating all of America. Harlem, a massive suburb of New York, and the epicenter of the African American population of the States was also under the mafia s control. Nobody would have guessed that by the end of the 30s, this district would be entirely under the control of a. .. black person. Back then it was impossible, like something straight out of a fairytale. While the Italians were around, they were undisputed kings of organized crime, and changing that was simply impossible. Nonetheless, it became the reality. Bumpy Johnson, experiencing the hatred of the white population all his life, and, due to his skin color, unable to become a prominent figure in the criminal world, suddenly became the godfather of Harlem.
