Ghibli Inspired Scene in Blender with Grease Pencil
Hey everyone 2 weekends ago, I watched a few Studio Ghibli movies for the first time. Started with Spirited Away, then Princess Mononoke, Ponyo, and The Wind Rises. I am so surprised I havent seen these before Theyre absolutely beautiful and have amazing storytelling. I had previously seen My Neighbor Totoro and Howls Moving Castle, but watching more of them have given me a greater appreciation for the work they do. For this video, I decided to create a Ghibli inspired scene in Blender based on The Wind Rises. To achieve this, I watched 3 amazing tutorials from Kristof Dedene and Lightning Boy Studio. They were able to achieve a look for trees, clouds, and grass close to the Ghibli style with shaders. If youre trying to attempt something similar, I strongly suggest you check them out I incorporated some animated grease pencil elements to give the piece some life and modeled some toon shaded flowers to pose them at different angles. Also, towards the end, I covered the main theme from The Wind Rises c
