I can t believe I m actually writing this, but i ve recently returned from a solo trip to Syria. I visited Aleppo, Homs, Hama and Damascus and I want to show you what it s like to be a solo female traveller (tourist) in Syria in 2021. I was there in November 2021, when they started reissuing tourist visas for people looking to travel to Syria. You have to book a guide and driver, but you re free to visit most places in Syria and taking photo and videos wasn t a problem. While it s a sad place with a devastating recent history, it s a wonderful country too and the people are just amazing. This is my PERSONAL experience, and not a political commentary. I am a tourist, a traveller, just looking to share what I saw on the ground. This is the first of a series of 5 videos from Syria. x
